Carolyn Joyce Spillman, Carolyn was beamed up to be with our Lord on May 28th, 2020.

Besides being a devoted Star Trek fan, she was an elder and Sunday school teacher at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. She loved children and her 6 nephews and nieces and 8 great-nephews and great-nieces thought she was a “cool aunt.”

She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed mythology.

Carolyn had a passion for community service. She served on the board of directors for the Heart of Virginia Festival, volunteered at the Science Museum of Virginia, and worked at Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Marie Brown. She is survived by her parents; Alfred and Patricia Spillman; her brother Clay Spillman (Debbie); Beth Allen (Greg); and a large, loving family.

A service will be held at a later date. Carolyn wished for all to “Live long and prosper.” The family is being served by Puckett Funeral Home. www.
