Only if a time machine is used to go back in history to change events.

Since it has taken so many years for others to find the statue to be a problem, and having lived 71 years here, and never hearing any complaints or comments on statue, I believe it should be left alone, if only to remind people the history events not to be repeated.

Human nature will always want some part of history gone.
