Local businesses, emergency responders and citizens honked horns, sounded sirens and drove decorated vehicles past onlooking hospital workers at the Southside Centra Community Hospital parking lot Thursday, April 23, as part of a Health Care Heroes Parade. The social distance-friendly event served as a way to show thanks and support to the community’s health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
