Gladys G. Goin, 92 of Burkeville, VA, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2020. She was born June 23, 1927 to the late Dorsey and Myrtle Southall. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank B. Goin, and two brothers, Paul and Trent Southall. She is survived by her son, Roger Goin, and two grandchildren, Franklin Goin and Michelle Lewis. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister, Jimmy and Calvin Southall and Jane Hilton. Gladys has 7 great-grandchildren.

Gladys Goin was a lifelong member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Burkeville, Va. For the last several years, Gladys was a resident of Amelia nursing home. She was well taken care of at the facility and the staff provided excellent services.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 25 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice, VA. The family is asking, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to Burkeville Fire Department. Shorter Funeral Home is serving the family.
