Cumberland County calls emergency meeting

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors has called for an emergency meeting scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8.
The meeting, to be held electronically, will be conducted to discuss, consider and take action, if appropriate, on a continuity of government ordinance to ensure the operation of local government in the face of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The emergency ordinance, if enacted, will effectuate temporary changes in certain deadlines and modify public meeting and public hearing practices/procedures for the county.

No public comment will be heard at the meeting. A release from the county noted for security reasons, instructions on how the public may participate at the meeting will be posted to the county website by noon Wednesday.
