Isabelle Halliday’s art work was selected by the Virginia School Board Association as an outstanding piece of student art from the region.
Her artwork is called “Clever Fox.” It is a huge collage of cut paper displaying the seven elements of art with an intriguing fox face painted over the collage.
As a first-place regional winner, Izzy’s artwork will join 26 other winning selections in being displayed on a rotating basis in the VSBA offices in Charlottesville and Richmond office of the state superintendent of public instruction.
Additionally, all pictures will be exhibited at the Annual VSBA Convention in Williamsburg Nov. 18-20.
Izzy will receive a blue ribbon, a certificate and a gift card in the amount of $50.
This is the first time a student from Buckingham Middle School has received this honor.
