Spelling bee winners recognized

At the meeting of the Cumberland School Board held March 5, members of the board recognized the winners of the Cumberland Spelling Bee. Winners included the following: first grade: Kinsley Crump and Greyson Peterson, runner-up; second grade: Addison Bowman and Nicolas Montanez, runner-up; third grade: Alexa Blackwell and Alana Jackson-Lewis, runner-up; fourth grade: Karlee Capps and Makayla Eppes, runner-up; fifth grade: Kamira Holman, district runner-up and Allahjah Harris, runner-up; sixth grade: Caleb Lipscomb, division winner and Kamrien Brown, runner-up; seventh grade: Brianna Barker and Steven Mullins, runner-up; and eighth grade: Madison Dayton and Omarion Ayers, runner-up.
