The 2019-20 Prince Edward County High School varsity girls indoor track and field team won the Virginia High School League Class 1/Class 2 State Championship Feb. 29 at Roanoke College in Salem. It was the first team state championship win for Prince Edward Head Coach James Baker. Out of 32 scoring teams, the Lady Eagles earned 74 points, 16 more than second-place Bruton High School.
