Piedmont Health District Director Dr. H. Robert Nash confirmed Tuesday, March 24, that the health district had been made aware of a confirmed positive case of the novel coronavirus in Nottoway County. 

Nash said that the organization could not release any additional information about the case at this time. 

On Wednesday afternoon Virginia had 391 confirmed cases of the virus out of a total 5,370 people tested, along with 59 hospitalizations and nine deaths.

The Virginia Department of Health provides a regularly updated graph including information about COVID-19 data for the commonwealth.
