Dear Editor:
The letters in the Friday March 13 edition of The Herald I hope will give inspiration to all our neighbors and churchgoers to put a sign on their lawns that says, “Love thy neighbor, no exceptions.”
Sometimes we need letters like those to encourage us to reach inside of ourselves and question our values.
The first letter evokes sadness and disappointment in our human family by pointing out the anger that is held against those who don’t agree with us. We can still disagree without hate.
The second letter I think is intended to provoke hate by accusing the Democratic Party of violence and hate without even giving examples.
We don’t need inflammatory letters. We just need to watch the news on TV. The motivation there is to make money. I want the facts. My church and parents have taught me values. My church only teaches love.
