Community over Crisis was formed less than a year ago to help people in the community during times just like this.
Though most of their work is done anonymously, the founder, Anthony Cokeley, thought it would be a good idea to have a big community cook-out, but minus the community gathering.
People were able to drive up and get prepared bags, which consisted of hot dogs (with condiments) , chips, fruit snacks, fresh-baked cookies and a drink. It was just like a fast food drive-thru, but without the ordering, waiting and paying.
Their remaining bags were delivered throughout the Farmville community. The event took place on the premises of the Quality Inn.
