Barry and Linda Miles and Grace Hudgins, all of Cumberland, along with Annie May Miles of Dillwyn, enjoyed an afternoon lunch and fellowship at Merk’s Family Restaurant of Farmville on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee will be host its regular monthly meeting Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center at 45 South and Davenport Road in Cumberland.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform Cumberland County residents and surrounding counties with updated information as to why this mega landfill will be detrimental to everyone. All are welcome to attend.
