Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) held its winter gala, Saturday, Feb. 15, in the Blackwell Ballroom of the Maugans Alumni Center on Longwood University’s campus in Farmville.
This year’s theme was entitled “Dream.”
More than 500 attendees enjoyed an elegant evening, enjoying heavy hors d’ oeuvres, an open bar and live music.
Lauren Irby was one of those in attendance and says she supports the LCVA because of the incredible impact they have in the community.
“Not only do they offer wonderful exhibits in their gallery, they host events and workshops that are second to none,” Irby said.
Irby served on the gala committee in 2018 and in 2020.
A silent auction featuring fine arts and crafts ranging in value from $50 to $4,000 was also held.
According to the LCVA, the winter gala is the best-attended event of its kind in the region.
All proceeds from the event support LCVA’s community outreach programs.
