Cumberland County High School’s varsity wrestling team placed sixth out of 10 teams generating points at the Southside Scuffle on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Nottoway High School.

Middlesex High School won with 151.5 points, Franklin High School placed second with 135, Nottoway claimed third with 113, Amelia County High School was fourth with 101.5, Cave Spring High School was fifth with 79.5, Cumberland had 71.5 points in sixth, Cosby High School had 70.5 points in seventh, Colonial Heights High School was eighth with 53 points, Southampton High School placed ninth with 40.5 points and Bluestone High School was 10th with 28 points.

Four Dukes placed second in their respective weight classes. They included 126-pounder Cole Dalton, 152-pounder James Dayton, 160-pounder Trequan Trent and heavyweight Thomas Trowbridge.
