When I think of Christmas I think of many things — the birth of Christ, the gathering of family and friends; homes, trees, city sidewalks and store windows adorned with twinkling lights and ornaments; delicious food and drink, presents, and yes, I think of good ol’ Saint Nick. But most of all I think of children, kindness and the goodness that the season brings out in so many people.

As a child my thoughts were of Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman and presents under the Christmas tree. I couldn’t wait to see what Santa would bring! And it is those thoughts of the innocent child waking on Christmas morning that brings us to our cover story — Prince Edward Christmas Mother (PECM).

When you combine children, kindness and goodness all rolled into one you get the PECM organization. Turn to pg 18 as Marge Swayne talks with this year’s PECM duo Chuckie Reid and Pattie Cooper-Jones and learn more about this organization that brings smiles and cheer to so many during the holiday season.
