Cumberland County High School’s varsity girls basketball team improved to 5-2 on the season after prevailing 58-47 over visiting Buckingham County High School in the “Battle of Route 60” showdown on Tuesday night, Dec. 17. Junior guard Janaia Trent, pictured at left, and the rest of the Lady Dukes are set to return to action Friday, Jan. 3, at 7 p.m. against host Randolph-Henry High School after a brief break for the holidays.
