Donald Unmussig has been reinstated as the county administrator for Cumberland County.

Unmussig originally began serving as county administrator July 15, but resigned in late September due to health problems.

At the Cumberland Board of Supervisors meeting held on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 12, the current board invited the five newly-elected board members that will begin their terms in January to join them in a closed session meeting to discuss county administrative positions.

At the end of the closed session, the current board announced their decision to reinstate Unmussig as the county administrator.

Jennifer Crews, who has been serving as both county finance director and interim county administrator after Unmussig’s resignation, confirmed that Unmussig will begin once again serving as county administrator beginning Monday, Nov. 18. Crews will continue to serve as finance director.
