The Pamplin Area Legacy Supporters and The Friends of High Bridge Trail State Park hosted a free dinner for veterans at the Pamplin Train Depot on Saturday evening, Nov. 2. In addition to dinner, there were dancing and sing-along opportunities led by the Farm Use Old Time String Band, which provided entertainment for the evening. Pictured above, dancing the Virginia Reel with a group of others in attendance, are Fred Hill, left, and his wife Chere Hill. Fred is a Vietnam-era veteran whose experience in a combat zone came in Grenada and Beirut. Both he and Chere are active with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7059 in Farmville.
