Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center located at 45 South and Davenport Road in Cumberland. The purpose of this meeting is to inform Cumberland County residents and surrounding counties with updated information as to why the Mega Landfill will be detrimental to everyone. All are welcome.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Courtroom.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving banquet on Saturday Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall located on Route 60 at 14405 West James Anderson Highway, Buckingham. All members and their guests are welcome to attend and asked to bring a covered dish with the meats and drinks furnished by the association.
