The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 31, that covers a variety of cities and towns in Virginia, including Farmville, and 26 counties in Virginia, including Prince Edward and Cumberland, according to the Farmville-Prince Edward Alerting System.

The system noted that the watch will be in effect until 11 p.m.
