Barbara Savage Stephens

Barbara Savage Stephens, 80, of Gladstone, died Monday, October 7, 2019, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Hulet Hampton “Tootle” Stephens.
Born in Buckingham County, on November 21, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Lottie Kidd and Edward Savage.
She attended Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Barbara loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed going out to visit friends.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Kenneth and Dale Bryant of Appomattox, Bernard and Connie Bryant of Buckingham, William Bryant of Gladstone; Anita and Kenneth Atkins all of Appomattox; a sister, Helen Lee and husband, Charles of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a half-sister, Frances Stout; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Carl Richard Bryant, Clyde Garrett Bryant, and Randall Kevin Bryant; two brothers, Herman Savage and Hal Savage; a sister, Shirley Mace; half-brother, Leo Savage; and half-sister, Bernell Martin.
A funeral service will be held, 1 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Tuttle. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Baptist Church.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10, 2019, from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.
