Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Community Center located at 45 South and Davenport Road, in Cumberland. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to meet the candidates who are running for public office in the November election for Cumberland County. Both new and re-elected candidates that choose to come will be given a chance to share with the citizens what their plans and goals are if elected. All are welcome.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Court Room.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will be hosting its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Sept., 9 at 5 p.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, located U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn at 3932 Bell Road, Dillwyn.
