The Bomb Squad softball team celebrates with the trophies it earned by winning the regular season and tournament championships of the Farmville Recreation Department’s Spring 2019 Adult Co-ed Softball League. The team went 10-2 in the regular season and 12-2 including the tournament, winning the tourney championship 27-7 against Worsham Mini Storage on July 18. Manager Casey Davis said her team, featuring players ranging in age from teens to 40s, thrived by having fun as it played. She relayed thanks to Alyssa Armstrong-Duffey, for being the team’s bookkeeper, and to Mike Adams and Charlotte County Farm Bureau, for sponsoring the team.
