The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. recently participated in “The Longest Day/Alzheimer’s Support Activities.” The event was a sorority impact day activity designed to honor and educate the community and all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Members of the local sorority chapter participated in a walk on the track at Buckingham County High School to bring recognition and support for the diseases. The chapter raised $180, which will be donated to the American Alzheimer’s Association for research and a cure. The activity was in conjunction with the sorority’s ongoing community service projects.
