Moton Family Challenge Scholarships are awarded to college-bound high school seniors who are direct lineal descendants of students affected by the public school closings in Prince Edward County from 1959 to 1964.

The release further stated, “The Moton Family Challenge Scholarship committee is grateful for the strong support that it has received for this expanded mission in 2017 and honored to recognize these students and contribute to their college education. They are shining examples of our future leaders.”

This is the third year that this scholarship has been awarded and we hope that other eligible applicants will apply this fall so that they can achieve their dream.

You do not have to reside in Prince Edward County to be eligible for scholarship.
