Farmers Bank receives award

The Buckingham Chamber of Commerce bestowed its July installment of the Community Pride Award to the Buckingham Branch of the Farmers Bank of Appomattox.

“The chamber is so proud to support the financial institutions within the county’s borders and those which are members of the Chamber,” said Community Pride Award Committee Chairman and Chamber Vice President Thomas Jordan Miles III. “We’re very thankful for the Farmers Bank of Appomattox’s Buckingham Branch and all they do for the community and their neatness and keeping their building and property neat and landscaped.” The bank is located at the intersection of Main Street and U.S. Route 15 near Dillwyn, next to Lucky’s Convenience Store.The award is a monthly honor the Chamber uses to recognize businesses which maintain their buildings and appearances.
