Jennifer Crews will serve as the Finance Director for Cumberland County.

She attended the July 9 Board of Supervisors meeting.

Crews said she has worked in the Cumberland County Treasurer’s Office since 2003 before transitioning to the county’s Finance Department.

Crews succeeds C.T. “Nicci” Edmondston, who serves as the Planning & Zoning Administrator/ Economic Development for Buckingham County.

Crews said she will work with the county budget and with the county’s Accounting Department.

“My role as finance director will be to oversee the accounting department, including payroll and accounts payable,” Crews said in an email interview Thursday. “I will also spend a great deal of my time working with the budget and the financial statements for the County.”

Crews said she is excited to work in a new capacity.

“I am looking forward to working with the budget in a greater aspect,” Crews said. “I am also looking forward to being able to continue to serve the citizens of Cumberland although in a different capacity. I am thankful to be able to continue to work in the county.”
