There were no injuries following a two-vehicle accident on July 5 at the intersection of Fourth Street Extension and Sanford Street.
One vehicle rolled over and the airbags in both vehicles were deployed, according to Farmville Fire Department representative Dan Pempel.
However, the vehicles knocked down a power line, which caused a power outage in the surrounding areas, Pempel said.
The road was temporarily closed until the electric company could replace the pole.
Jeremy Slayton with Dominion Energy confirmed that there was an outage in Farmville between approximately 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, affecting 207 customers.
