Spring varsity sports teams from Buckingham County, Cumberland County and Prince Edward County high schools and Fuqua School earned a collection of postseason accolades that will be recognized in the coming editions of The Herald sports section. First up on Friday will be the 2019 All-James River District softball honorees. Lady Knights senior outfielder Jayda Chambers, pictured above, and Lady Eagles sophomore second baseman T’Asia Beasley represented area schools on the all-district first team. More were named to the second team. Another coming highlight are the area all-district boys soccer honorees, including the Coach of the Year award winner.
