The Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association (PEFYA) Machine Pitch all-star team entered its game Tuesday with a 2-1 record in the 2019 Dixie Youth Baseball Machine Pitch District 5 Tournament held at the Dinwiddie Sports Complex in Sutherland. The PEFYA boys, including Levi Williams pictured above, orchestrated outstanding offensive showings Friday and Saturday in blowout wins. They defeated the Blackstone all-star team 16-1 on Friday, and they topped the Crewe-Burkeville all-star team 20-6 in four innings Saturday. On Sunday, PEFYA struggled, falling 16-0 to the Dinwiddie National all-star team. But after a valued rest Monday, Prince Edward-Farmville looked forward to a possible rematch with Dinwiddie.
