Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, is sponsoring a one-day bus trip on Thursday, Aug. 1, to The Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre (WHDT) in Wytheville to the show called “A Country Gospel.” WHDT is happy to present its version of “good ol’” country gospel. The production will feature favorite songs that we grew up singing from spiritual, happy, hand-clapping numbers to sweet beautiful inspirational hymns played by our own talented musicians. So come and join us in this opportunity to praise the Lord. Pickup will be Food Lion in Dillwyn, Farmers Bank parking lot, Appomattox and Walmart parking lot in Lynchburg. Only a few seats remain.
