SUMMER OUTDOOR FILM SERIES, dusk, at Crute Stage, corner of Main and Fourth Street, Farmville. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Popcorn, candy and drinks will be for sale. No pets permitted. Rain date will be following evening.

JUNE 14-15

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL DAY CAMP, at Maysville Baptist Church, Buckingham Courthouse. Hours are Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Children ages 4 through sixth grade are welcome. Lunch will be provided both days and families are welcome Saturday at noon for lunch and the closing program. Fun, interactive Bible teaching, games, snacks, experiments, music and more. JUNE 14-16

CLOVERBUD CAMP at Holiday Lake Educational Center. This is an overnight camp for youth ages 5-8. It’s a great introduction to prepare them for our weeklong camp for junior 4-H’ers. Email Jake at jake78@vt.edu.

JUNE 15

FREE COMMUNITY CARNIVAL, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 1301 Milnwood Road, Farmville. There will be food, prizes and lots of fun games. Everyone is welcome.

YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION, 3 p.m. at Tearwallet Baptist Church, Route 60, Cumberland, featuring praise dancers, choirs and other youth groups from area churches.

CRUISE-IN, 4-8 p.m. hosted by The Heart of Virginia Classic Auto Club in the parking lot by Tractor Supply and AA storage. Bring your classic car to show or just drop by and check out all the good looking cars. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.

FILM PREMIERE, 5 p.m. for the film, “Hopes City” at the Pamplin Train Depot, 115 Main St., Pamplin.

MEATLOAF SUPPER, 5-7 p.m. hosted by the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary at the Prospect Firehouse located at 45 Campbell Hill Road in the Village of Prospect.

PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY, 2:30 p.m. at New Store Baptist Church 9637 Francisco Road, Farmville for Dr. James E. Abbott Jr. In concert will be Eric Taylor, Atlanta, Georgia and Youth for Truth Ministries, Lynchburg. Soul food meal will be served.

JUNE 16

SERVICE, 11 a.m. at High Bridge Baptist Church of Rice, to honor Dorothy (Cill) Palmer Eanes during the regular worship service. All are welcome.

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Keysville. Dinner will be served.

JUNE 17

WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Upper Room Baptist Church, Tuggle Road, Farmville. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

NAACP TO MEET, 6 p.m. at the SCOPE building, 505 Griffin Blvd., Farmville. All are welcome.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, corner of Fourth and Main Street, Farmville. Topic this year is “Fruit of the Holy Spirit.” All are welcome to attend.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Keysville. The Rev. Stanley Wesley, Pastor of Mt. Moriah/Upper Room Baptist Church, Farmville, will deliver the message for the week. Guest choir each night. Everyone welcome.

REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1303 Mt. Zion Road, Red House. Pastor Daniel Watson of Springfield Baptist Church, Gordonsville, will be the guest minister for the week. Prayer and Praise service begins at 7 p.m.

NARFE TO MEET, 11:30 a.m. at the LaParota Grill, 1503 South Main St., Farmville. All current and retired federal employees are welcome to attend. Speaker will be Connie Bails, President of NARFE Virginia Federation of Chapters. A dutch treat luncheon will follow.

SENIOR DAY, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Cartersville Baptist Church, Cumberland. Information on wills, power of attorney document and advanced medical directives will be discussed. A Cumberland Sheriff’s deputy will be there to discuss crime prevention and scams on the elderly.

MUSIC, MESSAGE, FOOD AND FUN, 4-7 p.m. at Red House Fire Department, 9467 Red House Road, hosted by the band of Saints and Martyrs to help bring neighbors together. Free to public. Family oriented. Food will be provided.

GREAT AMERICAN CAMPOUT, 7 p.m. at Twin Lakes State Park. Limited number of sites available. Reservations recommended. Check out will be 8 a.m. the next morning. Contact the park office at (434) 392-3435 or email TwinLakes@dcr.virginia.gov.

10TH PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Guest will be the Rev. Kevin Bolden, a Buckingham County native of the Oak Union Baptist Church in Charlottesville. Zion Baptist church choir will be the special choir for the event. Dinner will be provided.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Passion Banks with In Faith Praise Team will be the guest. All are welcome.

DEACONESS/DEACON MINISTRY PROGRAM, 3 p.m. at First Liberty. Dr. Rev. Maurice Carter, pastor of Crystal Cathedral Church, will be the guest speaker along with his choir.

YOUTH CHOIR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Peaks Baptist Church. Guest will be Jericho Baptist Church Youth Choir, Farmville, Sulfur Spring Baptist Church Youth Choir, Prospect, New Hope Baptist Church Choir, Farmville and Youth for Truth.

11TH PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, Rice, for Pastor’s Jimmy and Gloria Coleman.

PASTOR’S 10TH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church for the Rev. Woodson and first lady Woodson. The Rev. Kevin Bolden, a Buckingham County native of the Oak Union Baptist Church in Charlottesville, will be bringing the Word of the hour. The Zion Baptist Church Choir will be the special guest choir. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.

MEN’S DAY, 3 p.m. at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. The Royal Supremes of Farmville will the guest for the day. All are welcome.
