The Cumberland County Landfill Alert Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, is sponsoring a one day bus trip Thursday, Aug. 1, to The Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre (WHDT) in Wytheville, to the show called “A Country Gospel.” WHDT is happy to present its version of “good ol’” country gospel. The production will feature favorite songs that we grew up singing from spiritual, happy, hand-clapping numbers to sweet beautiful inspirational hymns played by our own talented musicians.
