CCPS superintendent’s panel recognized by school board

At its May 2019 meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognized the members of the superintendent’s 2018-19 Student Panel. Students serving on the panel meet with Dr. Amy Griffin, superintendent of Cumberland County Public Schools (CCPS), on a bimonthly basis. These students receive division highlights directly from the superintendent and provide input and feedback on issues within the division. The goal of the panel is to ensure quality instruction, services and opportunities are available for all students at CCPS. Students recognized at the meeting include the following: Marveya Brown, first grade; Jorden Myers, second grade; Addison Lohr, third grade; Davion Hayes, fourth grade; Karma Dudley, fourth grade; Anthony Worrell, fifth grade; Iyaan Hairston, sixth grade; Valencia Valentine, seventh grade; Hailey Daniel, eighth grade; Shelia Robinson, ninth grade; Ebony Arauz-Tellez, 10th grade and Ziahir Berry, 12th grade.
