The ladies of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Meherrin celebrated the 150th anniversary of the United Methodist Women organization March 24. The mission of the organization is to support women and children around the world through Christian education and supplying basic items such as food, clothing, hygiene products and teaching life-improving skills.
