Cumberland County Administrator and County Attorney Vivian Seay Giles presented her resignation Tuesday evening during the closed session portion of the regular Cumberland County Board of Supervisors meeting, board Chairman David Meinhard confirmed in an email Thursday.  

Meinhard said Giles provided 90 days of notice, and had gained employment outside of Cumberland County.

The Herald has reached out to Giles for comment, but has not yet received a response.
