National Beta is proud to name Buckingham County School District a 2019 District of Distinction. This award is given to those deserving districts that offer National Beta in all eligible schools in their district.

Through the exceptional efforts of Superintendent Dr. Daisy Hicks, chapter sponsors and deserving Beta members, Buckingham County School Districts Beta chapters have flourished since the district’s initial Beta charter in 1946. This national award speaks highly of Buckingham County School District’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership development and service involvement, and illustrates their dedication to preparing students for college and career readiness. The students in their district understand the importance of these qualities and exemplify the Beta motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others.
