Cumberland County Landfill Awareness Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Courtroom.

The Appomattox Lions Club will be hosting live and in concert “The Inspirations” from Bryson City, North Carolina on Saturday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in the Appomattox County Auditorium located at 198 Evergreen Ave., Appomattox.
