Buckingham County Public Schools (BCPS) is scheduling a Title I parent and family night meeting to participate in family activities and address funding that is distributed by the federal government.
The Title I Parent Involvement meeting is set for Tuesday, March 19, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Buckingham County Elementary School.
“There will be a Taco Dinner for parents and students, presentations by grade level teachers on study tips and test-taking strategies, Standard of Learning Skill Scavenger Hunt, fiction and non fiction books for students that they can keep, scavenger hunt prizes and take-home study tips,” Division Superintendent Dr. Daisy Hicks said in a statement.
Hicks said for Title I funding, the school division is expected to hold events that focus on parental involvement about twice a year, “to make sure they are aware of everything that the school division is offering or has to offer.”
