Armed robbery reported at DG

An investigation continues following an armed robbery reported at the Dollar General store location at 1001 Rices Depot Road on Feb. 28, officials from the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

The two suspects in question, police said, came into the store with firearms.

According to police, the suspects were described as young men, black and wearing dark clothing. The first suspect was estimated to be between 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall. The second suspect was estimated to be 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall.

What was taken included money and other non-disclosed items, police said.

None of the Dollar General employees were physically hurt, police said.
