The Fuqua School varsity boys basketball team did not end up being selected to compete in the state tournament this season, Falcons Head Coach Mike Edwards confirmed Monday.

Fuqua played well this season against a challenging schedule that included Virginia High School League Class 6 opponents. Nevertheless, the Falcons did not receive the votes necessary from the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) committee to make the VISAA Division III state tourney.
