Cumberland County Landfill Awareness Committee welcomes all citizens of Cumberland County and surrounding counties to a community meeting concerning the proposed landfill to learn more and receive information about the stand against this issue. The William (Bubba) Bowles family of Cartersville and friends expressed their sincere appreciation to businesses, Cumberland Vol. Fire Dept. for the use of their facilities and all volunteers who helped with the fundraising event on Feb. 2 to assist the Bowles family in offsetting funeral expense, medical bills for the late William (Bubba) Bowles who passed away recently. Just over $3,000 dollars was raised due to the generosity of the public.

The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors monthly meeting is held every second Tuesday unless otherwise announced at 7 p.m. in the Cumberland County Court Room.
