Clark seeks re-election

Prince Edward County Commonwealth’s Attorney Megan Clark announced she is seeking re-election Friday evening.
The announcement about her re-election as Commonwealth’s Attorney was first made Friday at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA) Wine and Brew and later announced on social media.

“This is my home,” Clark said Friday evening about Prince Edward County. “I care about this place.”
Clark’s campaign theme, according to literature detailing her re-election, is “Fair. Consistent. Justice.”
“I love what I do,” Clark said during the announcement. “If I didn’t love what I was doing, I would not be seeking re-election, I would not be asking you all for all of the support that you could give me.”
Clark thanked her family, who attended the event.
Clark hosted the LCVA Wine and Brew. Her announcement was not affiliated with LCVA.
The election for the Commonwealth’s Attorney seat is set to takes place in November. Clark was elected in November 2015.
