Person of interest arrested

A person of interest pursued by Longwood University Police Department (LUPD) was arrested in Prince William County, according to a report from Longwood officials.
The suspect, Malcolm Deon Leviege, received charges of assault and brandishing a firearm. LUPD obtained the warrant for Leviege’s arrest. The warrant was served in Prince William County on Wednesday evening.
Leviege’s arrest comes following an alert Monday evening that LUPD was seeking a person of interest.
The alert cited that Leviege was seen near campus in recent weeks and “made threatening remarks to students.”
Leviege, according to the alert, drove a 2013 white Cadillac XTS with the tag VZL-5025.
