Dr. Alec Hosterman, assistant professor of communication studies at Longwood University, took this photo of the lunar eclipse in Farmville Sunday evening. The phenomenon, also called the super blood wolf moon, was visible in North and South America, as well as parts of West Africa and Europe. The next total lunar eclipse is estimated to take place 2021.
