The architect of the new Buckingham Branch Library and community center location is scheduled to present on the proposed design of the building during the Buckingham County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday.
The meeting, county officials said this afternoon, is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Buckingham County Administration Building, 13360 W. James Anderson Highway.
Josh Bowers with Crabtree Rohrbaugh & Associates (CRA) is scheduled to give the presentation.
A presentation given during the board’s December 2017 meeting concerned a potential floor plan of the library and community center at a renovated Dillwyn Primary School building at the intersection of U.S. Routes 15 and 20.
Members of the board voted unanimously in December 2016 to authorize contract negotiations with the Charlottesville-based architecture organization to determine whether the Dillwyn Primary School site would be suitable for a potential library.
While no public hearings are scheduled for the meeting Monday, the meeting is set to include additional presentations and discussions.
Stephanie Coleman with the Buckingham County Department of Social Services is scheduled to give a presentation concerning Medicare expansion.
County Administrator Rebecca Carter is set to give an update on the ACP Floodplain Ordinance Variance Request, which the agenda cites that the County Administrator is not prepared to make a recommendation.
The board is also expected to give an update on the status of the Supreme Court Appeal by the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League, Inc. against the Buckingham County Board of Supervisors that was submitted in 2018.
