Geography Bee held

Students in grades five through eight recently participated in a Geography Bee held at Fuqua School. Fuqua School National Geographic Geography Bee finalists were first place, Aiden Schwerdtfeger; second place, Noah Cole and third place, Carter McCarty. Classroom winners were: Corbin Tinsley, fifth grade; Jake Gibson, fifth grade; Katherine Sadler, sixth grade; Kaleb Knott, sixth grade; Carter McCarty, seventh grade; Noah Cole, seventh grade; Jackson Whaley, eighth grade; and Aiden Schwerdtfeger, eight grade. Alternates were Ashlyn Ligon, fifth grade; Taylor Elmore, sixth grade; Hayden Hodges, seventh grade; and James Royall, eight grade. Aiden will go on to the Regional Geography Bee competition Friday, Feb. 1.
