Ernest Chestley Davis Jr, 89 of Farmville, VA passed away on January 19, 2019. He was born on April 27, 1929 to the late Ernest C. and Alda Brown Davis. He worked all his life at Cavanough in Richmond, VA and retired to Cumberland, VA where he spent many years hunting and fishing with friends and family. He enjoyed bestowing small gifts to his many visitors and took great pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn.

He was preceded by 10 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mary Dowdy Davis and he was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service starting at noon in the funeral home.
