Prince Edward County High School senior Rah’Quan Payne distinguished himself with strong play during the 2018 Virginia High School Coaches Association (VHSCA) All-Star football game Saturday at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. The game featured a blue team and a red team, each made up of 2018 stars from Virginia High School League classes 1-6. Payne, a 2018 All-James River District and All-Region 2A first team selection at wide receiver, played slot receiver and special teams for the blue team. He finished with two carries and a reception — all resulting in first downs — plus a tackle during the blue team’s 45-17 victory.
