While waiting for a haircut at Blanton and Pleasants (Spankey’s) in Cartersville, Aiden Thurston (left), drew a ticket for someone to win a Cartersville Ruritan Club $500 raffle gift card. Fred Shumaker, club president, informed all that Madaline Johnston of Cumberland, a junior at Longwood University this coming spring, won the gift card. When she was called and told she was the winner, she cried tears of joy. Congratulations Madaline.
